The Ultimate DIY Gift Guide

Winter holidays are arguably the BEST time of year. Between all of the sparkling lights, cozy sweaters + overall cheerful vibes, there’s just so much to love about winter. We know how good it feels to give back to the friends + family who constantly support us + the holiday season is the PERFECT time to do so. As college students + post-grads on a budget, we’re always looking for the most cost-effective options, so here are our favorite affordable DIY gifts —

DIY Coasters

In our opinion, coasters are one of the most underrated home decor items. Not only are they functional + keep your tables // countertops free of drink rings, they’re also cute decorative pieces for any room of the house.

For these DIY coasters, you’ll need —

  • Scrapbook paper or decorative paper of your choice [#OUCHAARG’s Amb used print outs of CHAARG’s core values for her exec team!]

  • Foam Brushes
  • Glue Gun
  • Roll of Thin Cork
  • White tiles [can be found at supply stores, like Lowe’s!]

Coffee Cup Candles

We can’t think of a better way to increase the comfort level of a room than with two of our favorite things — candles + coffee. Picture it now: the warm glow of the flame, the sweet scent of your choice wafting through the air + [since we’re all about that #artsy life for the gram here at CHAARG] an aesthetically pleasing coffee mug proudly displayed on your bookshelf or coffee table.
