Self-Care Sunday? Self-Care Every Day!

Starting a self-care routine can be just as hard as maintaining it when we have busy schedules. During the school year is the most crucial to dedicate time to yourself + well-being. Everyone has their different forms of self-care + we must implement these activities that help our mind, body, ++ soul! 

1] EXERCISE

Yoga
— Workout at the gym//home [with a friend!] — Go on a bike ride
— Stretch in the morning
— Walk outdoors + appreciate the nice weather : )

2] DECLUTTER + ORGANIZE

Clean your room
— Clean up social media feeds [unfollow famous people!] — Clean out your closet + donate your clothes
— Clean out camera roll
— Clean out your inbox

3] BINGE WATCH + CHILL

— Binge watch your favorite show
— Watch an informative documentary
— Watch a cooking//baking video + try to make it yourself! [check out this quick + easy recipe]
— Watch a TED Talk + be inspired
— Watch your favorite Youtubers

4] JOURNALING

— Express your gratitude + write what//who you are thankful for
— Write about your favorite [CHAARG] memory ; )
— How you take care of yourself physically + mentally
— What advice would you give yourself in 10 years
— What accomplishments have brought you joy + happiness : )

5] SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU HAPPY

— Plan a spa day//get your nails done
— Go out to eat + treat yourself ; )
— Explore the outdoors + find a running buddy
— Spend the day at the beach
— Watch a movie in theaters

6] PEACE + QUIET TIME

— Meditate
— Read a book
— Use your planner + plan out your week//month
— Create a bucket list//list of goals
— Paint

Self-care is extremely necessary to add in our daily routines, especially in times where we drain out all of our energy + need to reCHAARG ; ). When we implement a self-care routine in the morning//night time, it will ensure that we are held accountable + get into the habit of actually incorporating it. We all may or may not be guilty of getting in the habit of waking up + using our phones to scroll through social media. However, we can be doing something more productive for our overall health!

Friendly reminder: rather than using your phone in the morning//night time — journal, read a book, stretch your muscles, or do yoga!
