Create Your Own Mantra Meditation

Logically, we all know that meditation has immense benefits [like, meditation can improve body satisfaction!] — but, whether you’ve meditated for years or you are just getting started… it can be hard to commit to a daily sit. Many guided meditations are 10+ minutes, + even though that seems like nothing, it’s still easy to dismiss + say “I don’t have time” [but, let’s be honest… in the words of Tony Robbins: “If you don’t have ten minutes, you don’t have a life”].

While we all have ten minutes, I am going to make it even easier for you + ask that you only commit to three minutes… three minutes of meditation for one month! : )

Here’s my challenge for you! Every day for 30 days, as soon as you wake up, set your alarm for 3 minutes. I love using the app — insight timer! Then, complete your own 3 minute mantra meditation [see below on how to create your own mantra!].

*Recommendation — stay in bed while you do your 3 minute meditation… either lay in savasana or sit on a pillow. The reason for this recommendation is so that you won’t be distracted by anything else in your house — you will immediately go into your meditation upon waking, thus prepping you for the day : )

I am energized: I want to feel like I have the ability to do anything. I want to bring fresh perspectives + ideas into my relationships ++ a breath of positivity in any room I walk into! I would love to end this challenge feeling like I have enough time + energy to do anything I want.

I am patient. I want to slow-down + spend more time on the things that are important to me. I realize that change won’t happen overnight + that I need to become comfortable with the *pauses* in life.

I am present. I want to focus on spending more time in the present moment + spending less time reminiscing in the past or worrying about the future. I want to be more present in my relationships + focused on whatever I’m doing at that moment in time.

I am confident. I want to lessen the anxiety + franticness I sometimes feel in day to day life. I want to find my inner strength + confidence to face the challenges that life will throw at me.

I am love. I want to learn to trust my body + give it what it needs throughout this challenge. I want to learn what it means to be kind to myself + how that will radically change my perspective on other relationships in my life.

Write it on a sticky note + put it on your bathroom mirror, set it as your phone background, write it in your journal 5 times every day, say it whenever you are feeling negative, say it whenever you have a free moment!

Make sure to keep the same mantra for the entire 30 days, even if you think you’ve completely embodied the quality. There’s strength in numbers + we want to make sure you totally immerse yourself in it. After the 30 days, you will re-evaluate how you feel ++ you can choose another word if you feel called to continue on the 3 minute mantra meditation practice.

I’m so excited to see what’s in store for you! Lots of love + light.
