How to Cook Spaghetti Squash
Eating healthy is easy if you’ve already cooked, portioned + packed your meals. That’s why we have spaghetti squash on our minds. Spaghetti squash is a great alternative to regular pasta + cooking one squash leaves you with enough food for multiple meals [#MEALPREP].
There are a ton of different ways to cook a spaghetti squash, but we like to keep things quick + easy. Here’s how to cook a spaghetti squash in the microwave with little to no effort. ; ) It’s far less intimidating than it looks — I promise!
DIRECTIONS
#1] Use your guns to cut the ends off of the spaghetti squash. Then cut the squash in half.
#2] Remove the seeds with a spoon + throw away.
#3] Fill a microwave safe dish with water. Place the squash in the water face down [We did one side at a time because our microwave isn’t big enough to fit both.] + microwave for 8 – 12 minutes. *Time will vary depending on the size of the squash. When the rind is soft, it’s done.*
#4] Once the squash is *done*, drain the water.
#5] Use a fork to scrape the spaghetti squash strands away from the rind, scooping it into a dish. Throw away the rind *clapping emoji*
