Coconut + Cinnamon Probiotic Power Bites

We already talked about allllll the benefits of taking a pro/prebiotic, but it can get expensive to take a daily supplement. If you’re on a budget, think about splurging on a container of pro//prebiotic powder + pair it with other pro//prebiotic rich foods to reap the benefits + save some cash. Probiotic powder is a great addition to smoothies, bites, oatmeal, or even just with water!

We recommend pairing 1-2 bites with some yogurt or eating 2-3 alone for a quick snack. The best part? Each bite contains ~ 1/4 of your suggested daily serving of probiotics!


*Yields 8-10 bites

  • ½ cup Rolled oats
  • Dash of Cinnamon [about 2-3 shakes]
  • 2 scoops Probiotic Powder [we used Ora Organic powder]
  • ¼ cup Almond Butter
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • Handful of Shredded Coconut
  • 2 pitted Medjool Dates [you can substitute with any other date variety if you can’t find them!]
  • ¼ cup melted Dark Chocolate [optional]


#1] Combine everything in a food processor [or blender] for 15 seconds.

#2] Continue pulse blending for 15 seconds at a time [pushing the batter off the sides of the container] until the batter is a able to be rolled into a ball without crumbling — if the batter keeps crumbling, add more coconut oil!

#3] Roll the batter into 8-10 *bite-size* balls

#4] Dip each bite into a bowl of melted chocolate + sprinkle with shredded coconut

#5] Put bites into a bowl or container + keep in the fridge for at least 30 minutes

#6] You can keep them in the fridge for a few days + up to a week.

You can cover the bites in as much chocolate as you wish — here, we dipped about half of the bite. You can always omit the chocolate OR dip the bites in cocoa powder instead for a less sugary take.
