One Word To Describe You:
Reason You Joined CHAARG:
I joined CHAARG to find a new home at my university when I felt lost as can be! I wanted to meet empowering women that could become my best friends!
Favorite CHAARG Memory:
THERE ARE SO MANY!! At the first UIC CHAARG retreat two years ago we were all gathered around the campfire + telling our CHAARG stories + what CHAARG meant to each of us + it was such a pure, beautiful moment. I knew right then + there that everyone has a different story of how they became a member, but it all lead to the formation of a new little family + it is truly incredible. I felt so safe + a part of a community of ladies that were going to change my world.

OH DANG THIS IS A HARD ONE! I absolutely love @julianna_inchaarg_ + @hal7s_inchaarg! They are such incredible leaders + absolute CHAARG rockstars.
Philosophy On Wellness:
Wellness is something everyone should strive to achieve. It can be different for every person so therefore everyone’s journey to wellness can be different! It is about being aware of your mental, physical, social, + emotional health in your daily life + shape your life to be in the greatest interest of your own wellness.
Favorite Self-Care Practice:
I love naps. Like, LOVE, naps!!! I feel like when life is getting stressful + I have so much on my plate, that I just want to shut down, I find that taking a little or long nap [depending on time] things can just reset for a little while. I wake up from my nap + I feel ready to conquer what I need to conquer. I think it is important before my nap that I just take three deep breathes and close my eyes + just enjoy the silence until I drift off.
Be present. I feel like too many times I am trying to do 3 things at a time or just moving through day to day at 102840293 miles per hour + I forget to just enjoy my time in that instant. I am a senior now, graduating in May, + its CRAZY! Life happens so fast so this year I want to practice being present + enjoying the memories being made in every moment.
Ideal Morning Routine:
I am not a fan of mornings… most people that know me really well know this about me already. BUT, my ideal morning routine would be waking up around 10am or so + just being able to lay in bed for a few minutes to stretch or take some deep breaths to start thinking about my day, shower, get dressed, + do my hair/makeup so I feel clean + ready to take on the day. I would ideally eat some cereal + listen to some music + then really take on the day one step at a time.

Greatest Lesson On College:
Things often don’t turn out the way you think they were supposed to turn out but that is OKAY! I feel like there is so much pressure on college students now in days to do everything perfectly + get the best grades + work while going to school, but of course staying mentally, emotionally, socially, + physically active which can be super overwhelming! Taking a step back + realizing that everything happens for a reason + things will work out in the end is super important + something I wish I could have realized long before.
Advice To Your Freshman Self:
A heartbreak won’t break you! You will make it past every obstacle thrown at you + you will learn to find your fit in this big university!!
Being #inCHAARG To Me Means:
Being #inCHAARG means to me that I am aware + in control of what is going on in my life! I am capable of tackling things thrown at me no matter what they are + am able to make decision that will most benefit me in the future! It’s all about being self aware + knowing my own boundaries/limits!
How have you been Changed By CHAARG?
CHAARG helped shape me into the women I am today! I came to college lost + confused + lonely + terrified of what the future had for me! Slowly CHAARG taught me that everything will take its course + things will work out in the long run! That it is important to take care of myself + my body because it’s the only one I have for this lifetime. CHAARG gave me the opportunity to learn to truly love myself + all my flaws, finding a group of empowering women all over the country that have been through similar situations as me. The girls I have met through CHAARG have become a family to me + I really cannot imagine my life without the influence of everyone I have ever met in CHAARG. I was changed by CHAARG + I can never be thankful enough for that.
