One of the best parts about theholidays are the #TREEEEEATS + traditions that make this time of year so special. Many of us have family//friend baking days in which we break out our favorite munchies to share [or keep to ourselves ;)]. If you’re anything like us — we LOVE the combination of peppermint + chocolate, it’s the *ultimate* holiday flavor. It’s no secret that holiday treats are usually jam packed with sugar + other ingredients that aren’t so great for us. Like all things, moderation is key, ++ this recipe finds a great balance of sweet + salty– just enough to #TreatYoSelf ; )
1 cup Chocolate Chips
¼ cup Almond Milk
1 cup Macadamia Nuts [halved]
1 cup Walnuts
½ cup chopped Candy Canes
2-3 handfuls Pretzels
1] Microwave chocolate chips + milk [in separate bowls] for about 30 seconds + stir. If the chocolate is not melted, microwave for another 10-15 seconds burst + stir once again. Once the chocolate is melted, add in the warm milk + stir.
2] Scatter pretzels, Macadamia nuts, + walnuts on a greased cookie sheet. Using a fork, drizzle melted chocolate on top of mixture + sprinkle the crushed candy canes on top. Cover + refrigerate or freeze until chocolate is hard. Remove from cold ++ you’re ready to serve!
