Cacao Chili Smoothie Bowl

If you’ve ever had mole or Mexican Chocolate, you know that chocolate + spice is a unique + delicious combo! Whether you’ve tried this pairing before or not, though, this smoothie is the perfect healthy treat. Smoothie bowls are great because you can pack a bunch of vitamins, minerals, ++ nutrients in one bowl. If you make it extra thick, it basically becomes ice cream, too, + who wouldn’t want ice cream for breakfast?  ; )

This smoothie bowl makes for a perfect post-workout meal that’ll cool you down + help your muscles recover — bananas will help restore glycogen lost during your workout, cinnamon + greens will help reduce inflammation over time, ++ cacao helps provide the necessary vitamins + nutrients your body needs for recovery. A nutritious way to satisfy any chocolate // sweet craving!

INGREDIENTS

Frozen Bananas

Greens [Spinach, Kale, Chard, or a mix]

2 tbsp Cacao Powder
2 tsp Maca Powder

1-2 tsp of Cinnamon [depending on preference]

2 tsp Chili Powder

Optional: 2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen//fav Protein Powder
splash of Almond Milk

Toppings: Fresh // Dried Fruit, Nuts, Granola, Peanut Butter [or any nut//seed butter]

DIRECTIONS

#1] Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender // food processor [add frozen fruit first to help it blend!]

#2] Blend, top with your favorite toppings, ++ enjoy! : )
