CHAARG is a lifestyle beyond college, ++ CHAARG girls are always on the move + building their careers at the same time. Some CHAARGies are up at dawn to start their day + some go to sleep at dawn after finishing out their night shift. Strict schedules are the preference of some + others think having no routine is the best routine! We reached out to our VirtCHAARG Post Grad community to give you a sneak peek into the *day in the life* after graduation —
Robyn Ankawi [robyn__inchaarg] // Art Therapy Intern + Retail Manager
My daily schedule is a bit crazy because I like to take on so much [the busier, the better for me]. I have two part time jobs, a part time internship, ++ full-time grad school! Typically I have class just one day a week all day [9am-9pm], + on the other days, I usually go from my internship to one of my jobs. If I have enough time, I’ll squeeze in a workout in between, or I’ll workout afterwards + then come home to do some homework. I prefer to sleep in a little more over going to bed early. Really depends on what job [bar or retail] I’m working + how many readings // papers I need to work on. My planner literally saves the day everyday because it helps keep me so organized with as much as I have going on every day!
Katie Carter [katiecarter_inchaarg] // ER Trauma Registered Nurse
Oh lawd, it is different every week! I work night shift 7PM-7AM + work every other weekend. On days that I work, I wake up at 3:30PM to get to the gym before work. I head into work around 6pm + get home at 7:30AM the next morning. I usually try to go to bed soon after getting home in the morning, but will decompress + read for a half hour or watch my favorite fitness YouTubers. If I have a stretch of days off, I’ll try to get on a “day shift” schedule to be like a *normal* human. If I only have one day off between shifts, I’ll usually wake up around 4 or 5PM, run to the grocery store or any errands I might need before places close. Then, I’ll get in a workout before the gym closes + continue to stay up all night watching TV, cleaning up around the house, reading, or meal prepping!

I wake up at 5 or 5:30AM to go to the gym, head to work around 8:30, ++ then on my break I go to a local park + walk! Then depending on the day, I either go to my second job after my full-time job or go home + make dinner. If I don’t have to work [my second job] I usually try to go to the park [if it is nice outside], clean, + I usually end up watching TV for a little while before heading to bed around 10PM. If I work [my second job], I usually work till 10:30-midnight so afterwards I eat some food ++ then head to bed!
Brittany Lind [blind_inchaarg] // Food Scientist
I wake up at 5AM to get ready for work + I’m at work by 7:30. On my lunch break, I will normally do a little bit of meditation at the end to kind of reset + #reCHAARG for the second half of my day. I get home between 5 to 5:30PM + usually head to the gym for a workout. I come home, cook dinner, ++ pack my lunch for the next day. Then, I relax for the rest of the night whether that be cleaning, reading, watching a movie, or taking a bubble bath. Before bed, I watch the news at 10 + I’m in bed by 10:30PM.
Stephanie Hamilton [stephleigh_inchaarg] // Director of Membership
My schedule varies day to day Monday through Friday, but a general schedule includes getting up at 6AM + work between 7:30AM-5:30PM, go to boxing class or the YMCA directly after for a sweat sesh, home for dinner, hang with my family, + bed! Now, I’m wedding planning, too : )
Alyssa Ardolino [thebusybee_] // Dietetic Intern
I like to change up my routine as much as possible when I can but I would say I wake up around 6-7AM to workout then commute to my dietetic internship rotation, then I come home around 5-6 to make dinner. OR if I didn’t workout in the AM, I drive straight to the gym for a workout! I finish the night with either reading the Bible, a book, crafting, studying, or trying to reach out to friends to stay in touch with them. I always try to decompress before I go to sleep with some deep breathing or stretching, but it doesn’t always happen!
