This 2016 CHAARG Fall Fit Plan is the 10th Fit Plan since CHAARG started in 2012 — that’s 10 [yes, T E N!] opportunities to strengthen your body + your mind. We talked to the three rockstars that have completed all 10 + they’ve learned a lot about CHAARG, fitness, but mostly themselves along the way. These seasoned pros AnaCecilia Flores [@anacecilia_inchaarg], Rachel Buzzard [@rachinchaarg ], + Rebecca Weidner [@_becca_inchaarg] share the good, the bad, ++ allllll the bolts!
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM 10 FIT PLANS?
AnaCecilia // I have learned a lot about myself. I’ve learned that every time my body gets stronger + stronger, my confidence also increases. With every new Fit Plan, I always start out thinking that I won’t be able to do a certain workout + then I realize that I can. I’ve learned that it’s not about being able to do extra weight — it’s about being able to do one more rep than before.
Rachel // I’ve learned to never compare myself to others. Everyone has different fitness levels//body types, so it does you no good to compare!
Rebecca // The past 10 Fit Plans have taught me a lot about working out + the different things I can be doing in the gym. Before I started the first Fit Plan, I would stick to machines because I didn’t know what else to do. The biggest obstacle the CHAARG Fit Plans have helped me with is to gain the confidence to go over to the *guy’s section* for a workout.
WHY DO YOU KEEP SIGNING UP FOR FIT PLANS?
AnaCecilia // I keep doing the Fit Plans because they truly give me a challenge. Every Fit Plan is something new + I never know what to expect. Every Fit Plan gets better + makes it easier to see how you can really succeed when you think you can’t.
Rachel // I keep signing up because every Fit Plan is different + offers a new challenge. I feel the Fit Plans come at convenient times where maybe you aren’t working as hard in the gym as you want to, or it helps you reach a new goal.
Rebecca // Even though this is the tenth one, each Fit Plan continues to teach more + more. I am learning new exercises which helps me build my own workouts when there isn’t a Fit Plan going on. I love the motivation + support I get from all of the other women participating in the Fit Plan.
WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU HAD KNOWN BEFORE STARTING THE FIT PLANS?
AnaCecilia // I wish I would’ve known that it was okay if I missed one workout as long as I went back to do it another day. I also wish I would’ve known that you didn’t need a gym for a lot of the workouts.
Rachel // I wish I knew how important it is to drink water! Seriously that was the biggest life changer. Eating healthy helps, but no matter what, drink a lot of water.
Rebecca // I wish I had known how to modify the workouts to fit your needs +++ that it is okay to modify them. Whether it is making them harder or easier based on how my body is responding//feeling.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE FIT PLANS?
AnaCecilia // My favorite part of the Fit Plans is seeing all the motivation from all CHAARG girls. Whether it is virtually or not, there is always someone encouraging you + motivating you to stick to your goals.
Rachel // My favorite part of the Fit Plans is the community. Seeing others complete workouts when you’re not feeling it, stealing recipes, getting common questions answered even if you don’t ask them — it’s the best!
Rebecca // The community. There are plenty of other workout programs out there but I wouldn’t trade CHAARG for any of them. During the Fit Plans, I have a community of women who I can reach out to for support, motivation, or answer any questions or problems I am having.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE OUT OF 10 FIT PLANS?
AnaCecilia // My biggest challenge of the 10 Fit Plans has been making time + not making up excuses. I know Netflix + taking a nap after a long day sounds so much better some days, but it’s all about making time.
Rachel // The biggest challenge has been not getting the results I wanted. Whether the goal was unrealistic, I was comparing myself to others, or not doing my best, it is hard not getting what you thought you would out of it. I’ve learned to set realistic goals for myself + that helps me to know that it is only my fault + not some unrealistic expectation.
Rebecca // Figuring out how to get the most out of them, which ties in with modifying them to my needs. ++ setting goals to help push me through each of the workouts.
WHY SHOULD ALL CHAARG GIRLS DO THE FIT PLANS?
AnaCecilia // I think girls should do the Fit Plan because it really let’s you find your own identity. I think they teach you a lot about yourself ++ let’s you gain confidence on workouts + in everyday lifestyle. I think it also lets girls see multiple workouts that will actually be challenging but also doable. I think if you stick to the Fit Plans, you will truly see results — either physically or mentally. It lets you see a side of yourself that you’ve probably never have seen before.
Rachel // All CHAARG girls should do the fit plan to challenge themselves, meet other CHAARG girls, and reach their health + fitness goals.
Rebecca // Even the most experienced fitness women out there will benefit from participating. There are great [++ maybe crazy intense] workouts as well as the opportunity to learn new things about yourself throughout each of these Fit Plans.
