FitGoal: To love myself the way I am but always push for a healthier + fitter version of myself. I also want to improve my mentality surrounding health + fitness + remind myself of the reasons I started this amazing journey.
// THE MOMENT //
The moment I knew I wanted to become the next CHAARG Ambassador at my university… When I first heard about CHAARG from my roommate, I knew I had to join the amazing movement. I loved the mission + everything CHAARG stood for, + I hoped someday I would be able to help spread the love for CHAARG to other girls at Purdue. I have always been more of a shy + quiet person though, so I had this doubt in my head that I would not be able to do anything more involved with CHAARG — I *thought* I did not have the personality for ambassador. During the winter when the previous ambassador, Emily, was looking for two new event coordinators, I knew I had to apply. Getting the position was a definite confidence boost + I knew that I was capable of helping spread the movement. When Emily was looking for the next ambassador, she reassured me that I had the ability to be the ambassador that Purdue needed. I knew that my passion for CHAARG would help break me out of my shell, so I could help new CHAARG girls see how loving, driven, dedicated, + passionate the CHAARG community is.
My passion for health + fitness was ignited when… I graduated highschool + I did not know what I was going to do stay healthy without sports. I wasn’t very competitive, but I was involved with golf, cross country, + track. I have sports induced asthma, + this always held me back from pushing myself too much. After I graduated + signed up to run my first half marathon with a friend, something ignited inside me + I knew that I was capable of so much more than I was allowing myself. I trained hard, ran my first half, + my training brought me into my freshman year of college where I ran my second half marathon + signed up for my first Chicago Marathon. I started taking group fitness classes my second semester, + I knew I was hooked on living a healthy lifestyle. CHAARG just showed me how to live a healthy + happy lifestyle. : )
// EAT //
Favorite Meal… I go through these weird phases where I eat the same thing almost every day when I find something I really love, + then after a month or so I get over it + become obsessed with a new meal. The one meal I seem to NEVER get sick of though is breakfast scrambles with roasted sweet potatoes, chicken sausage, egg whites, + sauteed veggies!
Favorite Indulgence… By far ice cream! I would eat ice cream at every meal if I could. Well I know I could, but balance is key : ). Peanut butter cookie dough ice cream is my fav right now!
// SWEAT //
If you could work out with anyone dead or alive, what workout would you do + who would you work out with? I would work out with Ryan Reynolds, because who wouldn’t want to work out with Ryan Reynolds? I would run my next marathon with him so I have someone to keep me motivated throughout the race!
A song that gets me pumped to take on a #sweatsesh is… Honestly anything upbeat, but right now I’m loving Gold on the Ceiling by The Black Keys. Unless it’s leg day, then Booty (feat. Iggy Azalea) by Jennifer Lopez is my go to!

My passion is… Other than health, fitness, + all the lovely ladies #inCHAARG, my passion is animals. I love helping animals + I cannot wait to start a career in the animal rehabilitation//conservation industry. I also am passionate about traveling + want to combine my love of animals + traveling by going to other countries and working//volunteering at different rehabilitation centers!
I am #inCHAARG because… I have learned to embrace + love my mind, body, + health journey. I want to live my life to the fullest, + CHAARG has shown me how to be confident, active, + healthy. I have a much healthier mind + body than I had before joining CHAARG, and I want to thank each and every CHAARG girl for being so inspiring + motivating. The love in this community is beyond describable + I want to be able to help spread the movement + touch as many girls lives as possible. CHAARG is more than a movement — it’s a lifestyle that I have embraced as much as possible.

Fun Fact… I’ve only been working with animals for 2 summers, but I’ve already been bitten (or attacked) by a squirrel, chipmunk, goose, raccoon, + coyote.
