#RunCHAARG isn’t only about getting in as many bolts as possible, but about enjoying every mile along the way. Whether you are in a chapter with a weekly Rise + Run group or in a city with #BoltBabes, running in a group is way more fun + makes earning your bolts a blast!
1] TEAM SPIRIT
Any time you run in a group, you build camaraderie. You support + encourage each other, providing motivation when necessary. You can be silly together + make the time go by faster. Even if you’re not talking the entire time, the social aspect builds friendships + #fitfam is for lyfe. Your tribe can also keep you accountable, especially on days when you would rather hit the snooze button than log bolts.
Running in numbers always ensures safety, especially if you need to run early in the morning or late at night when it’s dark [has anyone else noticed the days visibly getting shorter?!]. If you want to explore new neighborhoods or maybe run without all the tech on you, #RunCHAARG groups can be advantageous + protect you from harm.
3] STRUCTURE + CHANGE OF PACE
Maybe when you run solo, you only run long distance or you only run at a certain pace. Running in a group can mix up your workout, either by throwing in some sprints or intervals. You are also more likely to run faster when you’re being held accountable by another group! Of course, if one girl is struggling, our tribe doesn’t leave anyone behind — we all finish together! Try taking your group to the track or stairs to mix up your run for a change in pace — literally!
Races are more fun in a group + groups can be a great way to hear about upcoming races! If you don’t want to try an Obstacle Course Race [OCR] alone, your running buddies could be perfect teammates. If you want to train for a specific race, doing so in a group will keep you accountable so you can rock the race altogether.
How many bolts have you logged so far? You can still sign up for #RunCHAARG until September 16 here! All bolts must be completed with a bud, your #BoltBabe, your #RunCHAARG crew, or even a local run club.
