As much as we all love pumpkin, it seems that the majority of pumpkin spice foods tend to be a little *too sweet* [if that’s even possible ; )]. If you’re looking for a more savory way to get that delicious pumpkin spice flavor, give this recipe a try! This pumpkin hummus is a great snack, appetizer + a whole lot more! Get creative — maybe an Apple + Pumpkin Spice Hummus wrap?!
1 cup canned Chickpeas [make sure to remove the skin]
1 ¼ cup canned Pumpkin
1 tsp Cinnamon
¼ cup Honey
* optional toppings:
⅛ cup Dried Cranberries
1 tsp Flax Seeds
½ tsp Rosemary
1 tsp Honey
1] Grab a fork + mash the chickpeas + pumpkin until smooth. Once smooth, mix in the cinnamon + honey. We recommend saving a little honey to drizzle on top!
2] Sprinkle flax seeds, dried cranberries, + rosemary on top + drizzle with leftover honey.
