What’s better than those delicious festive coffee drinks to get you into the holiday spirit? A DIY version you can easily make in your own kitchen ++ oh yeah — it’s actually good for you! ; ) This peppermint mocha smoothie gives you a protein boost from Designer Protein’s delicious Gourmet Chocolate protein powder ++ a caffeine pick-me-up with the help of some cold brew coffee. If you’re looking for something a little more dessert-esque, this smoothie gets an upgrade when topped with whipped cream + crushed peppermint candies.
Not familiar with protein powders? Don’t worry, we’ve got the scoop [pun intended ; )] on how to use them ++ the difference between plant vs. whey protein! First up — whey protein. Whey protein is derived from milk + it countains a trace amount of lactose, so if you have a lactose sensitivity or a dairy allergy we recommend you opt for plant based protein instead! 1 scoop Double Chocolate Designer Protein or Chocolate Love plant based Designer Protein
1/2 cup Almond Milk
2 Drops Peppermint Extract [⅛ tsp]
2 cups Cold Brew Coffee
Mini Chocolate Chips
1] Pour the cold brew coffee into an ice cube mold + freeze overnight.
2] Combine 6 of the cold brew ice cubes + all other ingredients into a blender ++ blend away! Pour into a glass ++ if you’re feeling indulgent ; ), top with whipped cream, chocolate chips, marshmallows + crushed peppermint candies!
