++ we are adding a SIXTH Ohio university to CHAARG [um WHAT!]. We obviously love Ohio : ) [#gobucks ; )]. Not only that, but CHAARG is comin’ to Kent State led by the wonderful Madison! I remember first watching Madison’s youtube ambassador application — it was so cute! When I met her at TownHall [all my girls in CLE — you need to check this place out!], she was just as sweet in person. I could instantly see her passion for CHAARG — she talked about giving up everything to become the CHAARG Ambassador because she knew what big of time commitment it was ++ that she would do absolutely anything to bring CHAARG to Kent State. Well, needless to say — I was sold + CHAARG is comin’ to Kent State! Let’s give a warm welcome to Madison!

How did you hear about CHAARG?
To be honest, I never truly knew what CHAARG was until about a month or two before it was time to apply to be Ambassador + attempt to bring the organization to Kent State. I had a few friends at different universities [UC + OSU] who were involved in CHAARG that I followed on Instagram. After seeing all the fun it looked like they were having, I began to do my research + there was no turning back from there. I fell in love with everything CHAARG represents. In the end, I truly believe that I did not find CHAARG, but CHAARG found ME!
When was the moment that you knew you had to bring CHAARG to your school?
Once I learned everything about CHAARG, I began asking around my university. To my surprise, there was a ton of interest already [I even had girls asking to be on the Exec Board before I even knew an Exec Board existed!]. At the time, I had other obligations on my plate + I knew I had to choose between them. With the help of my family + friends, + ultimately the feeling I got whenever I thought about having a CHAARG Chapter at my school, I was in. From that point on, everything I did revolved around CHAARG. I started a journal specifically for all my CHAARG ideas, I was on Pinterest looking up different workouts, I read the CHAARG blog daily, + always stalked all their social media sites [in a non-creepy way : )].
What ignited your passion for health + fitness?
Ever since I can remember I’ve been a very active person. Before college, I was always on a sports team or club team. I was a dedicated sports enthusiast + put 110% into anything I tried. My first year of college, I knew I had to be involved in something. I needed a way to meet people, stay fit, + remain active. So I started playing club volleyball, where I met life long friends + continued my fitness journey. College was a huge transition though. I noticed that I not only needed to be active, but I also had to watch my diet. Having a meal plan that allowed you to eat anything you wanted 24/7 was a tempting concept. That’s when I realized I loved eating healthy + learning about different aspects of nutrition. So, I switched my major from education to nutrition + I’m never looking back!
Aside from working out, what else do you do in your spare time?
I’m a big foodie! Anything +everything involving food I enjoy. I love spending time with my friends + family. I also enjoy reading + doing crafts.
What excites you the most about starting a CHAARG chapter at your school?
There are SO many things I am looking forward to! Probably the most exciting part of it all though is the idea that girls all over campus are going to have a support system through this organization. A community of college girls who can be themselves, inspire others, + build friendships during the process. I want girls to be able to find their passion in health + fitness, whatever that may be! I really want the Kent Chapter to be an ambitious, loving, passionate, easy-going group of girls who are ready to step out of their comfort zone + empower other girls to be the healthiest they can be!
