// THE MOMENT //
The moment you knew you wanted to start a CHAARG chapter at your university… I knew I wanted to start CHAARG at UConn once I transferred from IU where I served as the secretary there for my freshman year of college. I made amazing friends + girls that I still keep in contact with even after transferring. I knew girls at UConn needed CHAARG + would thrive off of this environment.
My passion for health + fitness was ignited when… I have always been into health + fitness since I was a little girl. I was a competitive cheerleader for a long time + loved every minute of it but had a major knee injury my senior year of high school. After getting injured + being unable to cheer in college, I learned that there are so many ways to stay active + healthy in college while not being on a sports team.
// EAT //
Favorite Meal… Practically anything on the grill, mostly grilled veggies!!!
Favorite Indulgence… Dark chocolate acai berries, yumm!
// SWEAT //
If you could work out with anyone dead or alive, what workout would you do + who would you work out with? Shawn Johnson, I feel she’s an amazing role model to young gymnasts + athletes. She has also been through many ups + downs + never fails to prove herself each + every time.
A song that gets me pumped to take on a #sweatsesh is… You can not help but smile when “lets get loud” comes on by miss J.Lo!
// INSPIRE //
My passion is… figuring out new ways to get girls in the *groove* of a workout routine + having them stick to it. I love to make girls feel like they matter + they are something bigger than themselves.
I am #inCHAARG because… know fitness can be fun + enjoyable + I want every girl out there to see that as well.
// LIVE //
3 words to describe you are… outgoing, happy, + committed
Fun Fact… One of my best friends from my all-star cheer team (Kelsey Bishop) was the founding ambassador for CHAARG in Boston!!!
Favorite life quote…
“Everything happens for a reason”
