This weekend of the #CHAARGBOOTYCAMP is the one we’ve all been waiting for — the CHAARG MEETUP! We are hosting nine meetups in different cities + we know you’re excited to sweat, eat + laugh with your fellow CHAARGies : )
Our FitPlans + National Retreat are amazing opportunities for CHAARG girls [especially VirtCHAARG members] to connect with one another, but that doesn’t mean you’re limited to these pre-planned meet ups! We always encourage CHAARG girls to plan meetups of their own. If you’d like to host your own CHAARG meetup, but you’re unsure of where to begin — here’s a list to get you started with your planning… it’s easier than you may think!
1] FIND A CO-PLANNER
If you want to plan something small, you’ll be ok going solo. But, if you want to get more CHAARG girls involved, having another CHAARG girl by your side will make planning a much smoother process. Don’t be afraid to reach out!
2] CHOOSE A *THEME* FOR YOUR MEETUP
A great place to begin brainstorming a theme is with the CHAARG blog categories: Sweat, Eat, Inspire + Live. Do you want to get your sweat on + go out for some delicious #eeeeeats afterward? Volunteer at a local charity? Or even take some girls to your cottage for a weekend? Discuss this with your CHAARG co-planner + once you decide, commit. Don’t try to switch up the plan halfway through, as that will make the planning process disorganized.
3] CHOOSE THE MEETUP LOCATION
Whether it’s a studio, restaurant, or vacation spot, contact the owner or manager. Explain that you’re planning a meetup for CHAARG girls [make sure to show he//she our website + an article we’ve been mentioned in!] + would love to host the even at their business. Work with them to lock down specifics, like how many girls they can accommodate, available dates, if they’re willing to compensate in any way, etc]. Once these questions are answered, you will be prepared to send invites!
4] INVITE YOUR CHAARGIES
Get the word out on your chapter//VirtCHAARG Facebook group that you’re hosting a meetup! Collect the names + email addresses of girls interested + save these on a Google Spreadsheet. Keep in mind the number of girls allowed at your meetup location + make sure to communicate the final count to the studio//restaurant//etc.
5] FINALIZE THE DEETS
Now that you’ve got a final count of CHAARGies, a location, + date set for your meet up — it’s time to finalize specific deets. Decide on an initial meeting spot, what sponsors you’d like to contact, + what girls should wear to the meet up. ++ don’t forget to use your #CHAARGcity hashtag [wherever your meetup is]! We promise you’ll have a day to remember : )
The possibilities for a CHAARG Meetup are endless + we can’t wait to see the creative ideas you come up with! Until then, if you plan on attending one of the meet ups this weekend — snap a ton of pics so we can live out your experience oniInsta ; )
