When I’m looking for a nice cap to unwind + relax from a long day//a good sweat sesh, I like to enjoy an occasional glass of wine with my roommates [a little bit is good for me, right?]. Like anything else, too much of the same flavors gets boring fast. The change of seasons is the perfect time to *spice* up your routine — literally. Try this twist to CHAARG up the flavor of your normal bottle bottle of red. The cider-like spiciness will keep you warm + cozy as the temperatures drop + the scent of the wine // spices will leave your house smelling *ah-MAZING*, so go ahead — treat yo’ self. You deserve it : )
P.S. — If you aren’t 21 or over, feel free to experiment with apple juice to make some cozy spiced cider ; )
1 750ml bottle of Red Wine [I use Cabernet Sauvignon, but you can use whichever red you prefer]
1 Orange [sliced]
¼ cup of Honey [you can add more if you’d like a sweeter wine]
2 sticks of Cinnamon
1 tsp Apple Pie Seasoning Blend [this blends cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg, so if you don’t have access to a blend — mix your own!]
9 whole Cloves
1] Pour a 750 ml bottle of red wine into a crockpot + slice orange.
2] Mix in cinnamon sticks, apple pie seasoning blend, cloves + orange slices.
3] Cook for two hours on high, serve with extra orange slices + cinnamon sticks + ENJOY : )
