As you guys know, we are on the hunt for the next CHAARG Ambassadors to start a CHAARG Chapter at their universities next semester [email email@example.com if you are interested in an application!].
We wanted to find a way for girls to have a deeper understanding of what it really means to be an Ambassador. I say this all the time but, CHAARG would not be what it is today without these 14 girls. These girls took a leap of faith in us + put their hearts into spreading the CHAARG movement at their university. Not only did they succeed in inspiring a few girls to #JoinTheMovement — they have inspired hundreds. HUNDREDS. They have changed girl’s lives. It gives me tears + chills just thinking about how amazing they are + what a huge impact they are making on girls everywhere. I am forever thankful for these beautiful women + fearless leaders. <3
Now, I’ll let them do the talking + share with you a little bit of what goes on inside the heart of a CHAARG Ambassador. Grab a cup of coffee [or tea! Tiesta Tea is our recent favorite ; )] + become inspired.
WHY DO YOU LOVE CHAARG?
Danielle, UT CHAARG Ambassador — I honestly do not even know where to begin. Like almost every CHAARG girl out there, I fell in love with CHAARG as soon as I found out it’s mission. I remember the exact day that I knew I wanted to bring CHAARG to the University of Toledo. The summer before I was chosen to be the UT Ambassador, I put everything I had into publicizing myself + showing CHAARG that I was meant to not only be a part of this movement, but I was meant to LEAD it at UT.
I love everything about CHAARG! I love what CHAARG stands for. I love the passion I see in every single CHAARG girl out there. I love the inspiration these girls show me everyday. I love watching a community grow with more + more motivating, empowering women. I love the friendships I have made in the past year because of CHAARG. I love how a girl that has never worked out a day in her life can still be included + find a home with CHAARG. I love seeing the excitement on a CHAARG girl’s face as a new semester begins. I love knowing that there are 2000+ girls that will always be there for me + cheer me on until I reach my goals ++ beyond. I love how CHAARG is changing the world.
I love that CHAARG is in this together. We are not individual members of a student organization — we are a community of 2000+ inspiring + empowering women, ++ that is what I love more than anything.
WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE THE LEADER OF 500 CHAARG GIRLS AT YOUR UNIVERSITY?
Emelie, OSU CHAARG Ambassador — Leading 500 girls is like having 500 best friends. Being able to lead such a large + passionate group of women is something I’ve never experienced before. Sure, the size of the group causes some set backs here + there, but for the most part I would say that I’m extremely blessed to be in the position I am. On a personal level, when I have a rough day, I have 500 reasons to get my workout in, 500 reasons to smile, + 500 reasons to give it my all day in + day out. Every day brings a new challenge, but also every day I experience a different member reaching her goals + achieving so much more than she thought she could. Imagine experiencing that for 500 members — now that’s powerful.
HOW HAS CHAARG HELPED YOU GROW AS A PERSON?
Amy, UC CHAARG Ambassador — CHAARG has helped me discover my passion for helping others. I learned that I do best when constantly going + constantly meeting + talking to new people. Additionally, CHAARG pushed me out of my fitness comfort zone + helped me realize that once you are out of your comfort zone, you can grow. I try to remember this when I am interviewing for jobs, in class, + when meeting new people casually. It’s really helped me to grow as a person!
WHY DID YOU WANT TO BECOME THE CHAARG AMBASSADOR AT YOUR UNIVERSITY?
Emily, UD CHAARG Ambassador — I wanted be the Ambassador at UD because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. I started on exec as secretary, I was nervous about having a large leadership role larger than that. However, as our first year of CHAARG at UD progressed I knew that I wanted to be the Ambassador. I’m passionate about this lifestyle + being an Ambassador provides the opportunity to share CHAARG with my whole campus. I hope + want to serve as a positive motivator for girls on campus + show them that fitness can be both fun + part of your lifestyle while being a busy college student.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT BEING THE CHAARG AMBASSADOR AT YOUR UNIVERSITY?
HOW HAS BEING A PART OF CHAARG IMPACTED YOU?
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR EXEC TEAM + WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY WITH THEM?
HOW DO YOU PLAN TO MAKE CHAARG THRIVE AT YOUR UNIVERSITY?
Sam, XU CHAARG Ambassador — I plan to make CHAARG thrive at Xavier University by doing the little things. It isn’t just about the group as a whole, it is about every individual girl. Since XU CHAARG is just getting on its feet + is smaller than all the other chapters, it is important to take the time to talk + connect with every girl that comes to our events. Having small numbers gives us the advantage for that + having the ability to create a personal connection with the girls can make all the difference for our chapter. By creating a simple bond with each girl or even knowing one thing about them could give them the inspiration to continually come to events + encourage other girls to come as well.
My goal is to continue to inspire our girls to foster an encouraging community + exciting atmosphere. I believe it is important to build a strong foundation for the club based on personal relationships + motivation. I want girls to come to CHAARG because they want to come + feel empowered when they do – I never want them to feel as though they are just a number. Through inspiring the girls that we currently have attending our events, hopefully, as XU CHAARG continues on, these girls will each inspire other girls to help make CHAARG a club on our campus that touches the hearts of almost every girl.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CHAARG MEMORY LAST SEMESTER?
WHEN WAS THE MOMENT YOU KNEW YOU HAD TO BRING CHAARG TO YOUR UNIVERSITY?
Morgan, LSU CHAARG Ambassador — The moment I knew that I had to bring CHAARG to my university was the moment I saw the CHAARG website + blog + Instagram. I knew that this organization was going to be life changing for me + I was right. Looking at the Instagram posts, I could feel that strong sense of community — just through my computer screen. I knew that I wasn’t just coincidence + that this organization was truly something I needed to be a part of. I knew that if I was craving this feeling of “being on a team” again I knew I probably wasn’t alone in that. I knew there were girls out there who were probably too scared to reach out to anyone + who didn’t really know how to “find their fit” without having that support system around them. The CHAARG community is inspiring + I am so glad I get to share this organization that has changed my life with so many around me.
