Spotify is a global sensation for a lot of reasons [++ not only because students get an amazing discount!]. Within the app, we have access to a massive musical library + a browse section which offers a wide variety of playlists based off mood // activity. With a simple click of the section dedicated to workout, we are guaranteed a fun, upbeat track to keep us motivated + moving. If we’re feeling mellow while stretching // practicing yoga, Spotify has got us covered for that, too.
What most people don’t know about, however, is Spotify Running. It’s right inside the app [search *running* in the search bar], ++ is by far the apps neatest feature. Simply by pressing play + running at your own tempo, the app will be able to detect your pace + match music to your every step.The beat literally reacts to our your own body — pushing you further + keeping you CHAARGed up!
CHAARGies are constantly on the go + may not always have time to hit up the gym for a sweat sesh. Sworkit is a quick solution to this issue, acting as our your own personal trainer in your pocket. Simply choose your personalized workout anytime, anywhere, ++ for as long as you want. No equipment is required + you can choose to workout for anywhere from 1- 60 minutes. It has easy-to-follow video demonstrations for workout moves from personal trainers, so you can exercise correctly + avoid any potential confusion.
The Pact app uses a unique, powerful incentive to get users motivated for health // fitness — monetary rewards! Every week, Pact users commit to eating healthier, hitting up the gym more, or log more meals by wagering their own money. If they fail to reach their weekly goals, the cash is pooled back into the online Pact community. If they show proof of their achievements [pictures, iPhone location, video], they earn cash rewards — paid by members who failed to complete their own goals. Werk for da money ; )
Calling all nature gurus — All Trails will detect your iPhone location + show you every single hiking // walking trail within your area. Calm helps users make a habit of mindfulness through meditation programs + breathing exercises, which is beneficial for overall mental + physical health. The app also has a selection of “Sleep Stories” to choose from, which will send you falling into a wonderfully deep sleep through relaxing voices, stories, + pictures.
