CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve worked your *booty* off for the past six weeks, committing to strive to become the happiest + healthiest version of yourself. Seriously — you’re amazing. ++ NOW it’s time to #treatyoself with a special [+ healthy] treat! ; ) These Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Bananas make the perfect late summer night treat. We love this recipe because it is simple, super quick, + delicious. We are sharing four of our favorite toppings, but feel free to top them with #allthetoppings + make it unique to you!
12 ounces Semi-Sweet Baker’s Chocolate
Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
PB2 [or your favorite peanut butter]
Cooking Skewers or popsicle sticks
1] Peel each banana + cut in half. Insert cooking skewers [or popsicle sticks] into the flat half of the banana. *If you are using cooking skewers I would cut them in half + use both halves of the skewer to provide more support! Place the skewered bananas on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
2] In a coffee mug [I spy a tiesta tea mug ; )] melt the bakers chocolate according to directions [heat in 30 second intervals on HI, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth//creamy]. Dip each half of the banana in the mug leaving about ½ an inch of the banana showing! Place on the wax paper to begin to set.
3] Now let’s top these thangs! Start decorating each banana with the different toppings! Get crazy with this! I made 2 with each topping [aka 1 whole banana per *flavor*] ++ be very generous with the toppings + feel free to make whatever designs ya like ; ) Put in the freezer for 1-2 hours or until frozen.
