Summer is a time to let loose, unwind, + enjoy the beautiful weather. As the summer break begins, we all have ambitious ideas, but sometimes we lack the motivation, resources, or time to do it all. We all have responsibilities, even in the summer [sadly], but it’s important to take to for yourself + do the things you love. Make *you* a priority this summer by creating your own bucket list + planning different. Here’s how —
In the first few weeks leading up to summer, write down everything you would like to do [as CHAARG Blogis call ‘em, BrainBolts ; )]. Let your thoughts + ideas flow, remembering that you don’t have to accomplish everything. If you’re stuck, try researching other lists for inspo. You can start by looking at events occurring in your area, such as concerts, carnivals, or hiking trips. You can even check Facebook or Pinterest to get some great bucket list ideas to help your *flowspiration.*
2] SET LIMITS
After you’ve finished your *dreamstorm,* go through it + decide what is realistic to accomplish this summer. As awesome as they would all be, be honest with yourself + what is actually possible. There will always be more summers in the future, so be mindful of your budget + time.
3] SHARE WITH FRIENDS + FAMILY
Of course, you can complete the things on your bucket list alone, but everything’s better with friends : ) Send your list to your family + friends to see if they’d like to tag along for any of the items. You can even post it on your #inCHAARG Instagram + see if any of your fellow CHAARGies would like to participate!
4] CREATE A TIME LIST
To avoid decision fatigue, break your bucket list up by time. Begin by first looking at the things that have specific dates, ++ once those are all in place, add in the other items that are more flexible. Don’t forget to talk to your friends for each of the events so that you can coordinate dates with them!
For some people, planning is the best part! Decide what you plan on doing for each item to make things go more smoothly. Do you need to buy tickets? Do you need to go shopping for anything or pack for a vacation? These are things you need to consider so that things can go as planned! If you’d like to keep things organized, buy a journal so everything is one place or utilize Google Drive. If you’re the type that hates planning, make sure you have a friend that would love to do it ; )
