You may want to ditch the planner once classes end, but sometimes, scheduling can benefit even the most [seemingly ; )] simple lives. Whether it be digital or physical, here are a few reasons why using a planner year round is actually a good thing —
1] LIFE IS MESSY, KEEP IT ORGANIZED
It’s no secret that planning can help you reduce stress . Life can get crazy + simply having info stored somewhere other than your mind can be comforting + calming. A planner doesn’t have to be limited to work + class schedules, either. You can plan out meals, workouts, to-do lists, ++ goals. You can use traditional paper planners, or you can opt for a digital source — whichever works best for you!
2] KEEP YOUR BRAIN WORKING
It is actually proven that the use of a planner can improve your memory over time! The simple act of recording something can help you remember things better. Eventually, you may begin to get things done more efficiently + in more of a *routine* style. This could be especially true if you are using a planner that uses an hourly layout [we love Passion Planner for this!], because it helps to manage your time + be sure you are getting the most out of your day!
3] GET CREATIVE
Planning doesn’t have to be all serious all the time. There are so many fun planners out there — find something that speaks to you! When you find that *special planner,* make it yours with colorful washi tape, stickers, ++ pens. : ) Prefer digital planners? There are many apps + digital platforms that allow for plenty of creativity. You can color code categories + add icons to let your personality shine!
Who doesn’t love the feeling of crossing an item off of a to-do list? Being able to do that all day every day is an addiction we can all get used to. ; ) Another bonus — the more tasks you cross off, the more motivated you’ll be to do more! Incorporating workouts + snacks // meals into your planning may help you achieve your health + fitness goals, ++ in the Spirit of BootyCamp, now’s the perfect time to start setting some new FitGoals.
5] KEEP IT ALL TOGETHER
Many of us thrive off of being busy, but we shouldn’t let it get the best of us. By using a planner, you will be able to organize everything going on + keep things looking cohesive ++ flawless. You can use color coding, stickers, or whatever works best + is productive for you! Use something so that you’ll know what’s what simply by glancing at the page.
6] UTILIZE TECHNOLOGY
You can always opt to use a digital planning system. But if you prefer having a physical planner, there are still ways in which you can utilize technology to keep yourself organized + on schedule! If you are on the go, a planner may be a bit bulky in your bag — double up + use your phone to your advantage! You can use planning apps or simply use the calendar + reminder apps built into the phone to be sure you don’t forget a thing.
No matter what system you choose [there are thousands out there!] you will find one that works + you will be obsessed. How do you keep yourself organized during the year? Share with us @CHAARG on Instagram. Happy planning!
