The best part about the CHAARG Fit Plan is more than the sweat seshes, the mindfulness, or the athleisure — it’s the 1499 other girls you get to sweat with! Whether it’s girls from your CHAARG Chapter, #fitfam from your gym, or VirtCHAARG #BoltBabes, there are always plenty of girls looking for new, fun ways to sweat that will help keep you accountable ++ most importantly, make working out more fun! Bring your positive vibes + open mind to kick your sweat seshes up a notch with partner workouts —
1] FIND A WORKOUT YOU BOTH LIKE
If you’re logging bolts, find a bud that wants to do the same thing! Not everyone has to love running or rowing, but if you find someone else that loves cycling classes as much as you, combine your passions and tap it back together. There’s no reason to have to run it alone : )
2] KNOW YOUR LIMITATIONS
Friendly rivalry between you + your bolt babe is great — it motivates you both to push a little harder + get in a great #sweatsesh. But if you need a break + your partner is still going hard, don’t feel the need to keep going because they are. Even with a partner, it’s still your workout + that means not overworking yourself.
3] MAKE IT A FUN GAME
Whether you’re adding a game of *concentration* to your jump squat high fives, or dancing together on Just Dance, making your workout a game can create a closer bond between you + your partner, while also making it easier to finish. You can do partner tag-outs or relays to split up your rests, or if you’re feeling competitive, you can even challenge your friend to a little race ; ) With all the laughing you two will be doing, you’ll get a great ab workout too!
4] RECOGNIZE YOUR DIFFERENCES
You + your partner are most likely going to have different strengths + weaknesses. Maybe you enjoy running long distances, but your friend is all about squattin’ heavy — recognize these differences + use them to your advantage. Use each other’s strengths as a way to challenge each other + help each other grow — we all have room to improve here!
5] BE SUPPORTIVE
Don’t be the Debbie Downer — partners need to be supportive + motivate each other. More so than spotting someone during a heavy lift, cheer your partner on throughout the workout + help push them to achieve their goals. If they need to stop, don’t make them feel bad. Let them know they still did great + that you got their backs — always!
There’s no doubt working out with a partner is more fun, so grab your Bolt Babe + conquer the #CHAARGFITPLAN together! Comment + let us know what you like best about working out with a partner
