Now that we’ve been out of school for a few months + conquered the #CHAARGBOOTYCAMP, summer is officially starting to wind down. For our recent college grads, it’s hard to believe that commencements were already four months ago! ++ now, reality sets in: undergrad is actually over.
While your friends are shopping for school supplies, getting their books + comparing schedules, some major FOMO may settle in — which is totally natural! If, + when you start to feel the uneasiness of not going back to school, here are some things you can do to change your perspective…
1] ESTABLISH A NEW NORM
New lifestyle, new beginning. Become adjusted to your new life by making a fresh start. Wake up earlier, cook more often, set new goals. This will help you focus on the now rather than wishing the past was still *normal.*
2] MAKE TIME TO SEE OLD FRIENDS
Even though you’re no longer a student, that doesn’t mean you can’t see your college friends + CHAARGfam! Staying connected is totally possible, even when you no longer share classes or a CHAARG small group with your girlfriends. Whether it’s making plans to shop, workout, or get some #eeeeeats — make it a point to spend quality time with friends.
3] VOLUNTEER AT A LOCAL CHARITY
Have you ever walked away from a day of volunteering feeling anything but *amazing*? Helping others creates a sense of fulfillment + appreciation in your life. Research a charity whose cause resonates with you best + spread your compassion!
4] THINK OF THE NEW OPPORTUNITIES AWAITING YOU
Being in school is sometimes limiting to the things you can do. Now that you’ve graduated, you can finally start applying for jobs that require a diploma — because you earned it! ++ you also have much more time to pursue//discover your passions. Look for your dream job, start new hobbies, go traveling — don’t let anything hold you back from creating the life you’ve dreamed of!
5] JOIN VIRTCHAARG!
Whether you attended a school with a CHAARG chapter or not, stay connected with the community by joining VirtCHAARG — there’s so much you can benefit from, even in the virtual community! ++ if you’re new to CHAARG, VirtCHAARG is a surefire way to stay motivated to be the healthiest + happiest you.
Post-grad *freakouts* are normal + you’re not alone! There are several CHAARG girls who can relate to what you’re feeling. The CHAARG community will always be here to support you in your next endeavors + empower you to do amazing things. Take the world by storm, #BoltBabe! ; )
