We’ve been a big fan of Quest Nutrition since they were featured in our FitPack at the FITionista Parties last Spring. We fell even more in love with them when we found out that they had protein chips [yes, chips!] at the CHAARG National Retreat [+ now: pasta + protein powder + peanut butter cups, oh my!]. There wasn’t a question in our minds when we were deciding what health + fitness brands we wanted to be a part of CHAARGmas — Quest was at the top of our list. Why? Look no further than their mission…
++ revolutionize food they did! They believe that “healthy food should taste amazing with zero compromises” + we agree. If you’ve never tried any Quest products before — you need to start with the bars. They have 16 incredible flavors from Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough to Apple Pie to Banana Nut Muffin. Our favorite part? These bars can be used as ingredients to make *drool worthy* protein packed desserts. Alexa is sharing with us 4 must try Quest desserts. You guys are going to freak ; )
RASPBERRY QUEST CHEESE CAKE
- 1 Vanilla Almond Crunch Quest Bar
- 6 Raspberries
- 2 ½ tbsp Cream Cheese
- 2 tbsp Greek Yogurt
- 2 drops Vanilla Extract
- 2 tsp Stevia
- 1 Egg White
Combine yogurt, cream cheese, vanilla, stevia + egg white with a mixer until smooth. Mash raspberries into mixture with a fork. Divide the bar into 3 equal pieces + press into the bottom of a muffin pan [use liners!]. Pour mixture evenly between the 3 cups. Bake at 350° F for 17-18 minutes, until firm but not browned. Let cool + enjoy! You can save some for later by storing in fridge – but you’ll want to let them sit out for a few minutes before eating or the Quest Bar will be too hard.
- 1 Apple Pie Quest Bar
- 1 tbsp Granola
- 1 Green Apple
- 1 tsp Pure Maple Syrup
Cut the apple in half + remove most of the flesh [save this!]. Sprinkle with cinnamon + bake the halves at 375° F for ~10 minutes or until softened. While they are baking, sautee the leftover apple with a little pure maple syrup + cinnamon. Toss with granola + fill apple halves. Cut the Quest Bar in half + form into a circle big enough to cover apple filling. Crimp to look like the cutest apple pie ever : ) + bake for another 5 minutes or until slightly browned.
- 1 Cinnamon Roll Quest Bar
- 1 ½ tbsp Organic LF Cream Cheese
- 2 tsp Stevia
- 1 tbsp Chopped Nuts
- ¼ tsp Cinnamon
Mix cream cheese, sweetener, cinnamon, + nuts together. Roll out Quest Bar – keep rectangular. Spread ½ cream cheese mixture over bar + roll up. Cut into 3 pieces, turn on sides [to look like cinnamon rolls] + flatten slightly. Bake @ 350° for 5-7 minutes. Mix the rest of cream cheese mixture with a splash of almond milk for icing + spread over the top!
- 1 Cookies + Cream Quest Bar
- 1/2 Cup Coconut Butter [sold with nut butters]
- 4-6 drops [or ~1/8 tsp] Peppermint Extract
- 1 tsp Stevia
Break bar into small pieces. Heat ¼ cup coconut butter with the stevia until thick but pourable + add peppermint extract to taste. Mix Quest pieces into coconut butter + spread on a cookie sheet. Place in refrigerator until hardened + break into pieces!
