With the start of summer, many of us have been setting new goals + thinking of ways to hold ourselves accountable to them. Keeping track of our goals + staying motivated to achieve them can sometimes be a daunting task, but we should not limit ourselves because of this. There are many ways to stay inspired this summer that are easy [+ fun]! Tracking goals is more than just creating a list + how you want to achieve them — it’s time we think *crafty* about how we accomplish our goals —
1] Inspiration Board
Having daily visual reminders of our goals makes it easier to stay on track of them — try making a vision board to get started. All you need is paper, scissors, glue, + some photos that inspire you, then search for images that inspire//motivate you to work towards what you want to achieve. This board can feature anything from your school + career to inspirational quotes — it’s completely up to you! Not only will your new board help you stay motivated, it will also serve as cute new room decor. ; )
2] Fortune Teller
Sometimes all we need to get inspired is a positive word or two to keep us going. The fortune teller bowl is a fun + easy way to make sure you have the motivation you need. For this DIY, find a glass bowl with an opening at the top [a small fishbowl works], anything you want to decorate the bowl with, + small pieces of paper you can write on. On each piece of paper write an inspirational quote // fortune + place it into your bowl. Whenever you need a daily dose of motivation, just reach in your bowl for extra encouragement!
Sometimes it’s helpful to track goals by writing them out + deciding on specific dates you want to complete them by. The fun thing about this DIY is that you have the option to buy a calendar or you could make your own! Materials will differ depending on what you choose to do, so feel free to get creative + make your calendar fit your #GOALZ as needed. Circle the dates you wish to accomplish each goal, + write down the steps that are necessary for you to get there. Tracking your progress on a timeline is a great way to stay motivated!
4] Keeping a Journal
Writing in a journal daily is another great way to reflect on your progress toward reaching your goals. Keeping a journal may seem like a lengthy process, but it doesn’t have to be! All it takes is setting 5 minutes aside to sort out your thoughts + plan for the next day, week, or month ahead. There are so many cute journal options, each tailored to suit your schedule // aesthetic — plus, you can decorate ‘em as you please. : )
If you’re in need of inspiration this summer, try any of these DIYs out [or all of them ; )]. Post about how you’re keeping track of your goals this summer + tag @CHAARG so we can follow along in your journey! <3
