Everything you’ve ever wanted is one step out of your comfort zone.
If we don’t step out of our comfort zone, we may never know the full potential inside each + every one of us. It may seem somewhat terrifying to leave the safety of our routines, but in the long run, we will grow + learn from it. The question now is how to step out of our comfort zones. The best way to begin is to start with little things + work towards conquering more fears —
1] SAY HELLO
Stepping out of your comfort zone can begin with a simple *hello.* It may a person you pass on the walk to class everyday or the person standing in line in front of you with cute sneakers — whoever it is, taking a moment to say hello may lead to a new friendship! A lot of times we find out later on in a friendship that the person wanted to talk to you but was too afraid to say hi. You never know who could be dying to talk to you but is too shy. Even a brief conversation with the girl sitting next to you could brighten her day [+ you could even convince her to join CHAARG ; )] Next time you have the chance, break out of your comfort zone + start a convo!
2] LISTEN TO NEW MUSIC
Whether through a friend or from a newfound playlist, there are countless ways to discover new music. Next time you’re heading to the gym or sitting down to crank out some homework, consider switching it up with a suggested playlist or artist. If you’re really trying to break away from the music you’re comfortable with, switch to a genre you’ve never tried before. You never know — you may discover a passion for music you never thought you’d like!
3] TRY A NEW RECIPE
When it comes to new recipes, we feel unsure if we’re making it correctly or if we’ll even enjoy the outcome. If we shy away from trying new recipes, however, we may be missing out on what could be our new favorite food! So next time you’re trying to figure out what to make, consider experimenting with a recipe you’ve never had before.
4] DO SOME SPRING CLEANING
We may find comfort in having certain clothes // accessories even though we know they’ll never leave the shelf. However, at a certain point, it’s time to take those comfort clothes + send them out the door. Take a little time this week to do some spring cleaning of your own — clear out the old + make room for the new!
Stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary, but just remember to start small with daily activities before working your way to bigger habits. Remember that if you ever need someone to support you + push you to be your best, your CHAARG girls are right here behind you!
